Hi Angie, I  read your book "Backstage Passes" 2 years ago and incredibly liked it (and you). Found your CD and liked it too.Borrowed the book from the library a couple of days ago and again it's a treat.I'm from Russia, now live in Canada, and am trying to catch up with the info I was deprived of. Don't want to bother you with a long letter, just want to tell you YOU'RE GREAT! Thank you very much! Oleg

Happy New Year Angie & Michael!I hope you both had a great holiday season.
I went home to the prairies for Xmas for the first time in ten years. They told me I wouldn't recognize it cause it grew so much. Well,  there was a 7-11 where the Mac's store used to be and the church was grey instead of grey-blue. Great to see the family though. It went quite well considering I took my boyfriend. I've always liked a bit of danger with my eggnog.
I hope to see you both soon. Love and best wishes, Curtis

Angie, I would just like to say Happy New Year and I hope you are having a good New Year so far. The year 2004 really came in cold where I am (Sudbury, Ontario, Canada). Anyway, for Christmas, I got the DVD of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars and I saw you in it. Ziggy Stardust was my favourite year of David Bowie's, even if I wasn't around for it and only starting listening to David Bowie in June. I never really expected to see you in the film, though I had a thought that you might be. I was really hoping for it for Christmas, though since they don't have in many places around here, I was at least hoping to get it for my 13th birthday (two months from last Sunday). Well, thanks for taking the time to read my message and I hope that you have a wonderful New Year! Brittany

Their songs are so catchy and inspiring and the message is certainly vital

Steffen Franz and his record label POSITIVE SOUND MASSIVE — (Franzie to us now!) had multiple music releases last year.
“This is the last "News on the Net" for 2003, and what a great year it has been for us. With releases like Rocker-T's "More Luv" and biL's "Magic Thumper" and most recently working with Poetz4Peace on "A Pair Of Olive Leaves", indeed this has been an amazing year for PSM.” Here is a link to Franzie's interview for the San Francisco Weekly

HOLLAND

Wise Words! Ms. Hollander wrote a New Year's message:

"Wishing you a wonderful new year!

HOW TO STAY YOUNG
1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height.
Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay them.
2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.
3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening,
whatever. Never let the brain idle. " An idle mind is the devil's
workshop." And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.
4. Enjoy the simple things.
5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.
6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on.
The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves.
Be ALIVE while you are alive.
7. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it's family, pets,
keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.
8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable,
improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.
9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next
county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.
10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments
that take our breath away. so....have a very  happy year.
XAVIERA HOLLANDER "

Paul Fraser: I'm a Brit who lives in Amsterdam and I just want to wish you a great 2004.
Talking to people, most believe this wasn't a classic year, unlike, say 1973 - I don't know if you'd agree. Anyway, I believe having a duff year helps reaffirm one's attitudes to make the next
one really count. For the coming year, I hope all your plans come to fruition, and may you
have the best of health. best wishes Paul

Finland
Finnish translation of "Backstage Passes"?

Hi!  Thanks for your greetings. Can't believe it's 20 years after the savage jaw of 1984!
You should start another site"how to look good for4- tips for beauty".
David had a gig over here in October. It was a sell-out. That brought me to a thought that maybe there would even be  enough interest to publish your book in Finnish. The glam era was such an important part of Rock history and your account a valuable source of it. Do you know if your book is translated to other languages and if so how many? If and when Backstage passes will ever be published in Finnish, maybe we'll get you to come for a visit- in the summertime of course. Take care, Petri P.S. Maybe I shoud have a go and try and translate it, but then I should have a publisher for it.

"Happy new year - chronia pola.....What started out as one CD has now attracted over 24 different people and groups! We're even thinking of releasing a double CD compilation!"

So there it is, we crave peace and we crave love. May 2004 throw bessings of both at you with reckless abandon. May life be sweet and long; may you be blessed with spiritual and material riches. May your health flow with vitality and enrich the lushness of life. May intellect rule our passions and PEACE be our gift for 2004.
